Davis vs. Snow – League of Women Voters – Aug 9, 2012

The League of Women Voters will be holding a “debate” between Sen. Jim Davis (R – NC 50) and challenger John Snow (D) on Thursday Aug 9, 2012, starting at 12:15 PM at Tartan Hall — First Presbyterian Church, Church Street, Franklin, NC.

We hope to see as many Mountain Patriot Tea Party members as possible at the “debate” to support Senator Davis.

The League of Women Voters in Franklin is a liberal group and certainly not “non-partisan” as they claim. Senator Davis will not be in a neutral environment at this “debate.”

Due to this year’s redistricting, NC Senate District 50 now has significantly more registered Democrats making this an even tougher race for Sen. Davis this year. Sen. Davis defeated Snow, then the incumbent, two years ago by fewer than 200 votes.

The new Republican majority in the NC legislature, elected two years ago, has managed to pass a number of conservative bills over the vetoes of Democrat governor Bev Perdue. Perdue has done everything within her power to derail every conservative piece of legislation.

Conservatives hope to elect Republican Pat McCrory in November, and maintain control of the House and Senate to reverse the tax, spend, and control liberal mentality that has been controlling NC for over a hundred years. The re-election of Republican Jim Davis will be an important part of this complete change.
